Mixed Chicks Review
A while back I had the honor to test out some products from Mixed Chicks. I'm not entirely sure if this set as a bundle is for sale, I couldn’t find it on their website. The set that I received included the Gentle Clarifying Shampoo (10 oz.), the Detangling Deep Conditioner (8 oz.), the Leave-In Conditioner (10 oz.), and lastly the Gloss and Shining hair Silk (1.7 oz.)
Shampoo: * * 1/2
This shampoo can be used all straight, wavy or curly hair. I personally don’t like the shampoo because it dries out my hair, even if I pre-poo my curls before hair. I mean my hair does feel clean but it so dry, considering that water was just in it.
Conditioner: * * * *
I love this product. Considering that the shampoo dries out my hair this conditioner really puts back in the moisture especially if you sit under a hair dryer for a deeper conditioning process. With out sitting under the dryer I noticed that my curls come out frizzier oppose to when I sit under the dryer. Other than that I loved it.
Leave-in Conditioner: * * *
Nothing too special, it’s your average leave-in conditioner. Keeps your hair moisturized for a about up to 3 days. It’s a good buy if you just need a leave-in conditioner for extra moisture.
Hair Silk: * * *
It adds a good amount of shine without leaving your hair greasy. Works get on straight hair oppose to curly textures. Works good as a heat protector while curling for flat ironing.
Overall I really recommend the deep conditioner more than anything else. The other products are good, just not for me personally.
